![]() The success of a poster presentation is contingent on how well you convey the information to an interested audience. Include the background of your research followed by results and conclusions.This will make it easier for a viewer to follow your display. Label different elements as 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C. The poster must cover the same content as the abstract. Organize the poster in a way that it is clear, orderly, and self-explanatory.Avoid the rainbow colour scale or the parallel usage of red and green since it is not distinguishable for everyone.Use different colours or line-types for each line or bars contained in your graph or chart. The type is recommended to be 2.5 centimetres high. Prepare all diagrams or charts neatly and legibly beforehand, in a size sufficient to be read at a distance of 1.5–2.0 metres.Place EGU's official graphic whether you forbid or allow photography of your poster (see above).Indicate the authors' names and address information in order to allow interested viewers to contact you for more information. Place the title of your paper clearly at the top of the poster to allow viewers to easily identify your paper.The order form, prices, and pick-up times are available at: Poster preparation Posters can be ordered online only in advance or during the conference. The company XEST offers a poster print service with a pick-up desk in the foyer of Hall X4 (Yellow Level – ground floor). Please ask the conference assistants if you cannot locate a chair, they are happy to help you. There are also chairs for those who need a break from standing.The poster halls have portable steps available at the facility desks to help with putting up the posters.Please note that this storage is on your own risk. ![]() The tabletop of the table attached to your poster board can be lifted to store items as your poster tube or jacket etc.You can bring your notebook to show additional data, animations, or presentations. All poster boards have power supply and a table attached to the board.Please leave posters up until 19:00 to enable conference attendees to view posters at any time, including the networking break of 18:00–19:00. The authors in attendance time of each poster session is given in the programme. The authors in attendance time is the time when the respective authors of a poster session must be present at their display for presentation. After this time, the remaining posters will be disposed of by the conference staff and they will not be stored. Authors are asked to take down their posters only by the end of the day, between 19:00 and 19:30. The networking break from 18:00–19:00 offers refreshments and is dedicated to networking and additional poster and PICO viewing. Authors are kindly asked to put up their posters on the day the specific poster session is scheduled as soon as possible (08:00–08:30, but not in the evening before the scheduled display day) in order to enable the conference participants to view their posters at any time on the display day. for posters on the ground floor (Yellow Level) in Halls X4 and X5. for posters in the basement (Brown Level) in Halls X1–X3, and X4. for posters on the second floor (Red Level) in Hall A, X1., X2., and X3. The first part of this number indicates the poster area and the second part the running number of the respective poster board in that area. The number of each poster paper and of its corresponding poster board is given in the appropriate session programme. European-type power sockets are available. For each poster board, there is a desk to place the private notebook for additional presentations. In addition, there are assistants to help authors put up or take down their posters. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the facility desk in the respective poster area. Poster boards are in landscape format, and authors can make use of the full dimensions of 1978 mm width × 1183 mm height. It is strictly prohibited to take photos of any scientific material without the explicit permission from the authors.
